Four kinds of ground, one engineered retaining wall question

This is not one retaining problem repeated fifteen times. The Blackall Range plateau at Maleny and Montville sits at 400 to 560 metres on deep basalt-derived red clay with very high rainfall, where groundwater pressure decides everything. The Buderim volcanic remnant rises to about 180 metres with steep escarpment margins and benched building platforms. Around Landsborough and Beerwah the weathered sandstone gives sandy, erodible surface soils where scour matters as much as earth pressure. And the coastal sand plain and estuarine flats are a foundation problem rather than a slope one.
